Recommended kit, Airfix
- NZ3553, No.42 Squadron, 1956. Vip configuration.
NZ3553, a C-47B-45-DK, was converted to Vip configuration in 1949 (like a DC-3, but with more comfortable seats etc.) and served with No.41 Squadron, Whenuapai until being passed to No.42 Squadron in November 1953.
After a long service career, all with No.42 Squadron, it was finally withdrawn from service on 20 May 1977 and struck off charge on 20 December 1978.
