Caracal Models - 1/48 Grumman F7F Tigercat - Part 1 : Our first sheet for the F7F Tigercat provides markings for four aircraft, including one fire bomber and a colorful U.S. Navy drone controller. The F7F Tigercat was the last piston-engined fighter of the US Navy. While it arrived on the scene too late to see service in WWII, the F7F served with distinction in Korea and several examples were used as fire bombers long after the retirement of the type from military service. Our first sheet for the Tigercat features markings for a diverse group of four aircraft.
This sheet is designed for the 1/48 scale Italeri (AMT/Esci) F7F kit. Note that the F7F2-D drone controller and fire bomber options will require modifications to the base kit.
