The P 47 was the first allied fighter aircraft able to cover the heavy bombers all the way to the target, fitted with drop-tanks.
Developed by the British made from compressed paper. Zemke s group was one of the pioneers of bomber defence using the P 47, a heavy but well-armed fighter.
