Mark I - 1/144 Aero L-29R/RS Oko 'Recce Delfin'. The L-29 Delfin (NATO code Maya) was a basic, intermediate and weapons training jet aircraft developed by the Aero Vodochody company in Czechoslovakia early in the 1960s. It was a two-seat, all-metal monoplane powered by a Motorlet M-701 turbojet engine.
More than 3,600 Delfin trainers had been built by 1974, testifying to the type's timeless design. A small batch of a dedicated reconnaissance version, the L-29R (cover named the Eye), was built in the late 1960s, fitted with a camera container under the front fuselage and two wingtip-mounted fuel tanks, while the 'RS' variant was a single-seater, used for advanced flying training.
